Sub- Committees

Section 102 of the Local Government Act 1972 empowers parish and town councils to establish committees or subcommittees to facilitate their functions and responsibilities. Thruxton Parish Council has now accepted the following sub-committees.  These deal with community matters and the respective committees do not represent the Parish Council, however, they can make recommendations to the Parish Council.

Thruxton Fete sub-committee

This sub-committee organises the village fete and makes recommendations to the Parish Council on how any income could be spent on equipment and entertainment and community projects, if there is a profit.
